**스마트그린비즈니스센터 (Smart Green Business Center)**는 한국 중소벤처기업부와 룩셈부르크 경제부의 ‘중소기업과 스타트업의 지속가능한 혁신에 관한 협력 강화를 위한 양해각서’ 체결로 2022년 룩셈부르크 설립이 예정된 중소기업 유럽진출 종합 지원 센터입니다. SGBC는 아셈중소기업친환경혁신센터(ASEIC)와 룩셈부르크혁신청(Luxinnovation)이 공동으로 운영하여 양국은 물론이고 아셈 회원국 전체의 교류 활성화를 목표로 하고 있습니다.

룩셈부르크는 ‘유럽의 관문’, ‘유럽의 물류허브’라고 불릴 만큼 유럽의 심장부에 위치한 국가입니다. 프랑스, 독일, 벨기에를 접경하는 룩셈부르크는 다양한 자본과 서비스, 인력이 자유로이 이동할 수 있는 강점이 있고, 정부 차원의 친기업 정책 덕분에 유럽시장에 진출하고자 하는 우리 기업들에게 가장 이상적인 환경을 갖추고 있습니다. 더 나아가 룩셈부르크는 낮은 법인세, 법인화 간소화, 유연한 수출입 규제 등으로 유럽에서 가장 친기업적인 정책을 펼치고 있어 우리 기업들에게 최적의 조건을 제공하고 있습니다.

이러한 지리경제적 이점을 반영하여, SGBC는 한국을 비롯한 ASEM 회원국 기업들이 룩셈부르크와 유럽시장 진출할 수 있도록 사무공간과 각종 현지 정착 관련 컨설팅을 제공할 예정입니다. 또한, 입주 기업들이 현지 기업 및 기관들과 성공적인 네트워킹을 할 수 있도록 다양한 매칭 프로그램을 계획하고 있습니다.

Smart Green Business Center (SGBC) is an integrated support center for SMEs to expand into the European market based on the <Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of the Republic of Korea and the ministry of the Economy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Innovation for SMEs and Startups>. Jointly managed by ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC) and Luxinnovation, SGBC aims to not only facilitate interactions between the two countries but also among all ASEM member countries.

Luxembourg is called a "gateway" and "distribution hub" of Europe as it is located at the heart of the continent. Bordering France, Germany, and Belgium, Luxembourg provides the advantage of easy access and mobility of various capital, service, and labor, and ideal environment for Korean businesses to expand into the European market. Furthermore, Luxembourg has business-friendly policies including low corporate tax, simplified corporation process, and flexible export and import regulations, which enables Korean companies with the best conditions to manage businesses.

Utilizing these geoeconomic advantages of Luxembourg, SGBC will provide office space and other consultant services for Korean and ASEM member companies to successfully run businesses in Europe. Also, SGBC plans to facilitate networking between SGBC participants and local companies and institutions through various matching programs and events.
